My Uncle, Carl C. Wallace died on Sunday, Nov. 29 2009. He was the last of my father’s siblings. It is difficult to believe they are all gone now. I always felt that my Uncle Carl was extra special. Perhaps it was because when I was a child, he lived in California and when he came to visit it was always a rare treat. Perhaps it was because there was something about him that I could identify with. He, like my father and my Uncle Joe were, as my sister put it, “larger than life”. All three were strong personalities that had been very successful in the most difficult of times. They were all good Christian men. May they all rest in peace.
